New Sculpture for Arklow
Arklow Shipping Limited welcomed the installation of a new piece of sculpture today Wednesday 1st October 2008. The piece which consists of the bow of an 'Arklow Ship' mounted on stainless steel frames was commissioned by Barkmeijer Stroobos B.V. to commemorate the building of 20 ships for Arklow. The piece was officially launched by Mr. Hans Veraart and Mr. Jos de Groot of Barkmeijer Stroobos and makes an aesthetic addition to the Arklow Shipping building.

Arklow Shipping - a group fleet history by WJ Harvey has been published. While Arklow Shipping has made no contribution towards its content, it makes an interesting read.
